星海音乐学院音乐博物馆建设于2017年，空间面积达2400平方米，分别位于大学城校区和沙河校区，展陈藏品总数为5158件/套。是一座具有深厚岭南文化底蕴以及音乐学科特色的高校自主建设的公益性音乐博物馆，馆体是由岭南音乐文化馆、世界民族音乐馆、冼星海纪念馆、乐器文化馆四馆组成的博物馆群，并拥有教育部普通高校中华优秀传统文化（粤剧）传承基地、非物质文化遗产研究中心、优秀传统文化传承传播及研究平台、红色音乐文化研究与传播展示平台、音博文化创意中心等。承担着收藏保育、研究传承、传播创新优秀传统音乐文化、红色音乐文化及世界优秀音乐文化的功能。是“大文科”背景下学校进行多学科交叉融合的教育实践，更是涵养社会智识、体现服务社会和文化传播，提升广东高校青年群体及区域民众音乐文化素养，深入介入“粤港澳”大湾区以及国家文化建设的重要平台。

Introduction of The Music Museum of Xinghai Conservatory of Music

The Music Museum of Xinghai Conservatory of Music was built in 2017, with a area of 2,400 square meters, locating at the University Town Campus and Shahe Campus respectively. The total number of exhibition collections is 5,158 pieces/set. It is a nonprofit music museum independently developed by Xinghai Conservatory of Music, a university with profound culture of Lingnan heritage and distinctive characteristics of music discipline. The museum complex consists of four museums: Lingnan Music Museum, World Music Museum, Xian Xinghai Memorial Hall, Musical Instruments Museum. By running various research institutes, including Excellent Traditional Culture (Cantonese Opera) Inheritance Base of Ordinary Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, Inheritance, communication and Research Platform for Excellent Traditional Culture, Display Platform for Red Music Culture Research and Communication, Creative Center of Music Museum Culture and so on, it undertakes diverse functions of collection and conservation, research and inheritance, and dissemination and innovation of excellent traditional music culture, red music culture and universal splendid music culture. Under the background of "The Wide Humanities", the music museum has become a significant platform where the university can not only process educational practice of interdisciplinary integration, cultivate social intelligence, embody social service and cultural communication, and improve musical cultural literacy of the youth in Guangdong universities and the regional public, but also deeply participate in the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao" Greater Bay Area and national cultural construction.
